KPHS METHOD
Keystone Prep High School uses an interdisciplinary approach to teaching and learning which is infused with high-interest thematic curriculum strands and project-based, problem-based learning, to enable students to explore how areas of knowledge connect across academic disciplines. We give students the opportunity to apply what they have learned through semesterly research projects, highlighted in portfolio assessments and at our semester-end Student Showcase nights. We ensure small class sizes with a maximum capacity of 16 students (10 on average) per class to facilitate greater and deeper learning with more access to content area specialists in the classrooms.
A low student-to-school counselor ratio will be adhered to so counselors can work closely with students to prepare them for success in life after high school. Internship possibilities, aquisition of a driver’s license through online training, high school appropriate jobs, document completion and submission for college entrance, and resumes will be pursued under the supervision of the student’s school counselor.
